HOLD ON
by Sarah McLachlan
Hold on
Hold on to yourself
for this is gonna hurt like hell.
Hold on
Hold on to yourself.
You know that only time can tell
what is it in me that refuses to believe
this isn't easier than the real thing.
My love
you know that you're my best friend.
You know that I'd do anything for you
and my love
let nothing come between us
my love for you is strong and true.
Am I in heaven here or
am I in hell
At the crossroads I am standing.
So now you're sleeping peaceful
I lie awake and pray
that you'll be strong tomorrow
and will see another day
and we will praise it
and love the light that brings a smile
across your face.
Oh god
if you're out there won't you hear me.
I know we're never talked before
and oh god
the man I love is leaving
won't you take him when he comes to your door.
Am I in heaven here or
am I in hell
at the crossroads I am standing.
So now you're sleeping peaceful
I lie awake and pray
that you'll be strong tomorrow
and we will see another day
and we will praise it
and love the light that brings a smile
across your face
Hold on
hold on to yourself
for this is gonna hurt like hell.

This is Dozer...rescued just minutes from being put into the gas chamber at a kill-shelter in Ohio. Found his way to us in Maryland thanx to Debbie (St Francis Sanctuary in Ohio) who pulled him from the shelter for me....and Deb, his transport Angel(and Corgi rescuer), who drove him from Ohio all the way to Maryland :o)
A purebred American Bulldog...Dozer is about 4yrs old, up-to-date on all shots, neutered, housebroken, great w/ kids...and other dogs (supervised of course). Not sure about kitties tho.
120lbs of sweet luvin! Dozer will surely make someone a GREAT forever pet...preferably in a home w/ kids..he loves to interact w/ them...but most of the time serves as a BIG pillow for them to lay on while playing their videogames...or snuggling up w/ them in bed or on the couch.
He can be a bit stubborn..but those who are familiar w/ bulldogs know that "bullying" is one of their traits..so Dozer will do great in a home w/ a family that is familiar w/ the breed and not intimidated by his size... Bulldogs are definitely not for pushovers...that is a recipe for disaster.
He submits immediately when spoken to in a stern voice.....down on the floor, belly up, paws in the air lol
Dozer also serves as a good watchdog...he is very alert & will always let u know when there is a stranger nearby...the bass in his bark alone will surely let an intruder know to pick another house.
Dozer is in search of his FOREVER family...could this be u?
***UPDATE*** Dozer needs help!
Unfortunately, after taking Dozer in to the vet...we found out he is heartworm positive...and has been for at least a year already. If it goes untreated much longer, he could go into respiratory failure..and (God forbid) die. :o(
The cost for treatment is almost $700...becuz of his size & weight, the procedure is costly...and he will need to stay 2 days in the hospital. After meeting Dozer, hearing his story, & seeing how sweet he is, our vet is willing to take a flat $500 for his treatment. We've raised some funds already but we're not there yet.
If you would like to help Dozer...you can mail a check directly to the vet...make payable to Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital.
